2008 Goals

In 2008, I will focus on 2 main areas – Financial (which includes personal business goals) and Physical (weight loss/fitness/health).  My intention is to put the same kind of energy/focus into my financial/business goals as I did my physical goals in 2007 – which was very successful! I will continue to move forward with my physical goals as well, but this is an area that I feel very confident in and have developed very good habits around. (can be somewhat an autopilot now ) 😉

Tho, I have the best of intention (and opportunity) I can’t quite seem to focus (find the time?) to work on these business goals – this REALLY needs to change and now! My weight loss/fitness efforts are going great and I can see the finish line here for sure.

I did get a bit of a raise during this last quarter. For the rest of 2008, I will focus on new project with HealthCare.TV , CWL, and making a plan for real success in this area!

Looking back at 2008, I really did not make as much headway with my business/financial goals as I would have liked.  I seemed to continue to focus more on the health piece and this has been good with an additional 35 lb loss. I believe that I would have met my target weight had it not been for a few  minor set-backs/gain from travel, BUT I am ok with this. REALLY plan to focus on income in 2009!

Physical:

*To weigh 133 lbs or less by Jan.  1, 2009. (this will be 60 lb loss for 2008, 145 lb total loss)

*On track for this – may decide to do maintenance a bit higher than 133 – will see how I feel – current weight after Q2 is 162
*OK, after all my travel/gain I am revising this to 150lbs (may be happy at the 155 for end of year which was my lowest this year) – will continue weight loss tho in 2009
*Ended year at 158 lbs and a trip to Ireland!

*To continue with my varied and consistent exercise of walking, biking, strength training, ab work, and pilates.
*Doing great here!
*Continue to do great!
*Great throughout 2008 with the exercise!

*To add different exercise – running, swimming, more leg work – lunges, squats, step
*Decided that running is not really for me – at least at this point. Haven’t been swimming yet. I did create a new strength training routine to do at home – included lunges, squats, step, etc.
*Continue with what I have been doing
*Continued with what I had been doing – will change up strength training routine (using bands) while away for 7.5 wks in Ireland – may also try running there.

*Possibly take a karate or martial arts type class – look into this
*Haven’t done this yet.
*Haven’t done this yet – maybe in 2009
*Haven’t done this yet – maybe in 2009

2008 is looking good for meeting my ultimate weight loss/fitness goals – you still with me?! 😉

Tho I’ve had to revise and will most likely not reach my ultimate weight loss goal by the end of the year, I’ve learned SO much. I’m ok with getting right back to it quickly after the weight gain (this is where I’ve failed in the past, right?) and looking realistically at those last few lbs to lose. I can handle doing this as I go into 2009!!!  Woohoo! How are your goals coming along?

I hope that 2008 was a time of forward motion for you…that’s one of the biggest things I’ve learned to date – to keep going even if things slow down. Some motion is better than none, right? 😉 Overall, I’m feeling great going into 2009 with a minimal focus on a huge weight loss (will be 20-30 lbs more, I suspect) and more focus on the business/financial goals – this is the year for serious growth in that area of my life…stay tuned!
