sorry I have been MIA here and on Twitter. Haven’t been feeling too well lately, my back/neck acted up again and I needed another pain-killer injection yesterday – and I couldn’t shred because of that.
I still couldn’t shred today, but I did some cardio first thing in the morning, to at least get some kind of exercise in.
The back is getting better, so I hope to start again tomorrow!

I actually did both level 1 and 2 today + the “boost metabolism” dvd because I needed something else to focus on.

Starting to get a bit nostalgic that we’re halfway through the shred challenge! Makes me start thinking about the next 30, starting Nov.20. Paula, any plans for another one? Because I have an idea…
Almost messed up Day 14 but I rallied! I have to remember to add the extra 100 calories to my breakfast or else I am toast, pun intended. Level 2 saps my energy. If I could roll myself into the kitchen (instead of walking) for my post-shred snack, I would – just to preserve whatever energy’s left. No way could I do the extra cardio on the bike today. But there’s always tomorrow.

Lori you are funny! I just responded to your DM…let me know what you’re thinking…We may want a bit of a break tho? That’s my gut reaction to starting something Nov. 20…LOL BUT I’m open! I will say that in general – I don’t like to do dvds for my workouts – I really just like this because of how short and sweet it is! π
I need some advice on the 30 Day Shred video. In the last circuit of the Level 1 video, she does lateral raises and side lunges. I CANNOT do side lunges… they kill my knees. Can anyone think of a modification I could do instead of the side lunges in that set> The lateral raises are no problem.
Vicky, could you maybe do squats the same way she does in the first set? That way you’d still get some leg benefit and if the squats bother your knees you could modify but not making them as intense? Good work! π

Yep, that’s exactly what I was thinking! Keep us posted if that works for you! Personally I think the arm raises are the hard part of that move! Geez! π AND we are getting strong ladies!
Sorry I was MIA yesterday… just wasn’t feeling like doing much computer stuff. Anyway, I did do a pool workout for 50 minutes. Between that and Monday’s house cleaning effort, I am SORE!
