Day 5 Shred Challenge: Video Message from Paula

shred-day05

The workout definitely seems to be getting a bit easier to me – well, not exactly easy but I can do more on Day 5 then Day 1 for sure! Today I managed to do 10 regular push-ups as opposed to yesterday’s 5 for example.

By the way, I’m creating these videos with the Flip Camcorder – a really simple way to upload videos to YouTube and Facebook. You can also easily send via email cards to someone. Very fun! A must have if you are doing video by yourself (of yourself) is this cute little Flip Tripod

  1. Day 5!!!!! In some ways today was easier, but I decided to make the switch from 3 pound weight to 5 pounds. That was definitely more challenging. I had to push to get through the lunge/arm raises AND I sweat more.

I think my plan is to stick with level one for 5 or 6 more days and then move onto level 2.

    Have a great day!

  2. 10 pushups! PAULA! You rock!!! I’m glad that you aren’t a quitter.

Shredded for the day- here’s the log.

    See you all Monday!! πŸ™‚

  3. Happy Sunday everyone! πŸ™‚

In my part of the world Sunday is almost over!
I did my workout today 1st thing in the morning – need to get used to getting up early and working out before breakfast, as my vacation will be over soon.
And I know that once I’m back at work, I’m too tired to do it in the evening.

Today it was really hard for me and I didn’t do as good as yesterday – but I pushed through, so that’s a good thing!

Paula – I LOVE your videos!

Mette – I’m from Tyrol! Kennst du das? (<– just testing your German)

Rachel, Mette, Amy – I am following you on Twitter now. πŸ™‚

    BTW, my twitter account is @fairyonamission;
and my blog is http://www.fairyonamission.blogspot.com – but I just started it.

    Have a great day,
    Andie

  4. aaand I’m done with day 5! πŸ™‚

  5. My Day 5 is done! The first 5 mins really kick my but….and the push ups are still my challenge–still doing modified. But I am able to do a little more each time. I am definitely feeling it in the tops of my legs! Will check back tomorrow!

  6. I’m done! I feel good, really tired, but good! My victory for the day was to get all the way to Hwy11 (more uphill work) and also not to stop to rest at the bottom of my hill on the way back to my house. If the knee was cranky, it didn’t say anything about it, LOL!

  7. Great job everyone and thanks for checking in on your weekend ladies! I REALLY appreciate you all…I hope you know that! What a great team of strong and determined women we have here! You girls make me want to push myself harder so thanks for that!

@Amy ~ I’m thinking maybe my next goal will be to go from 3 lbs to 5 lbs – it’s actually note the arm work that is difficult for me, so I should try that! Thanks for the inspiration! πŸ˜‰

@Andie ~ Thanks for the sweet comment about my videos! πŸ˜‰

WooHoo! Onward and into the another week!

I think we can all agree that we ARE feeling stronger!

  8. HEY HEY HEY ladies, I was out of town this weekend. But I made sure I woke up early yesterday morning to shred before I left and then I shredded today when I got home! Today was hard for me, I am not sure if it was the traveling, the lack of water, sleep or what but I am hoping that Day 6 is kinder to me. I feel great mentally for committing but I am not sure if I feel that much in the way of strength!

GREAT JOB and thank you for pushing me!

BTW Paula you got me wanting a darn FLIP, of course I’m not as cute as you are but I still want to FLIP!

  9. Kim, I think your commitment level is awesome! You were one of the first to sign up and you have so not let me/yourself, really – down! Thanks so much for that!

P.S. You have to FLIP – I really want to see your videos! Of course you are cute as a button! πŸ™‚ All the Ireland vids in my personal FB page were taken by this nifty little gadget – a blast!

    Keep up the great work!

  10. Managed both sets of pushups AND moved to 8 lbs on all but shoulder raises. Day 5 was a biggie! Want to repeat this again on Day 6, then move on to the next level.

Love reading all of the team comments here and on Twitter – this is one devoted, focused group of Shredders!

  11. I didn’t do the Shred Thur & Fri because I was helping plan a retirement party for a coworker. Then this weekend all my running around caught up with me. I have managed to ride my bike 20 mins each day. Had a fibromyalgia flareup this morning–very stiff and painful. Soaked in hot tub, stretched, and rode bike 20 mins. Not sure I’ll be able to do the shred every day, but starting tomorrow I plan on doing the shred in the a.m. and the 20 mins on bike after work. I think that may work better for me. I’ll let you know how it goes.:)

Happy to hear how others are doing–keep up the good work everybody!

  12. You go Lori! I agree about the group – I am loving you girls! πŸ™‚
Thanks for linking to the blog/challenge – that is awesome and I appreciate it!
Enjoy the rest of your night.

  13. Thanks for checking in Linda. Hope you are feeling better soon and good work pressing in, doing what you can. I think you have a good plan and you seem to do a great job of listening to your body and what you need to do/not do. Sleep well and look forward to hearing from you during the week. πŸ™‚
